Bio

Lexi is an R&B and soul singer-songwriter from Chicago. From an early age, her evocative and powerful voice, combined with charismatic yet real energy and multidimensional musical talent, has caught the attention of music industry leaders, landing her on stages and records and fostering her passion for writing music and singing from the heart.
Before attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Lexi was a member of the Chicago Children’s Choir, which gave her the opportunity to travel internationally and perform with world renowned artists such as Chance The Rapper, Baby Face, Al Green, Kurt Elling, Colbie Caillat, Nicole Cabell, Yo-Yo Ma and others. A few recent highlights include performing with Chance The Rapper on his winter 2020 Virtual Live Concert “Chi-Town Christmas”, with Theaster Gates for his “Black Chapel” project in Munich, Germany in 2019, and being featured on Sofar Sounds Valencia’s international women’s day showcase in 2020.
In October 2019, Lexi released her debut EP, “With Love, Lexi”, which was followed by her signing with Preach Records in February 2021. This was a big year for the singer, having graduated from Berklee in May and releasing some of her most popular music to date, namely “Just Breathe”, and “Favorite Type”. Her most recent release, in April 2023, is “Balance”.
The talented artist identifies as an activist for civil rights, gender equality and black culture, which can be heard throughout her music. Lexi was featured on National Public Radio (NPR) for advocating Black Lives Matter in her songs and collaborating with young artists around the world on social justice campaigns.
Lexi currently resides in London where she recently finished her Master of Arts in Songwriting at the prestigious Institute of Contemporary Music Performance and is launching an international career as a performing artist.
